How To Ensure Your Newborn Is Healthy, Happy And Comfortable

Since the second you become pregnant, you try and do everything you can to make your child healthy and safe. Taking utmost care of yourself and the baby in several ways, like frequent trips to baby scan clinic, eating healthy, sleeping well, exercises, etc. Once the baby arrives, you strive to make him or her healthy, happy, and comfortable. Here are some ways that will ensure that you are doing the same for your baby.

Create a Bond

This one is fairly easy. All you need to do is care for your baby, spend most of your time holding or playing with him. Touching, talking, cuddling, and eye contact makes babies feel safe. Soon your baby will smile, laugh, or make ‘cooing’ noises at you.

Pick Up On Cues

Babies use non-verbal communication like cries, body movements, or noises to tell you when they’re hungry, sick, want to be held, or need a diaper change. Meet your baby’s needs before the uncontrollably crying starts so that you’re not stressed or your child is not uncomfortable.

Develop Soothing Tricks

Using trial and error method figure out what works to soothe your baby. It could be singing, rocking, stroking their back. Find that out and it will become easier to calm your baby.

Let Your Baby Sleep

A baby disturbed from its sleep is not a happy one. So do not ever wake your baby up. Your child will wake on its own when their sleep is over. You can create a calming environment so that they wake up without any fit.

Limit Visitors

Too much visitors can make your newborn cranky. It also increases the possibility of germs. Ask your friends and family to inform before arriving and do not arrive in large groups. Say no strictly if it is nap time or feeding time of your child. Ask them to wash hands before passing your baby to them.

Step out of the House

Fresh air and Vitamin D is also important for your baby. Even though protecting your newborn from pollution and germs is important, cooping them up in the house all the time is not a good option. A change in scenery will keep your baby’s mood fresh and happy.

These are some of the ways that will keep your baby happy and comfortable. As you don’t need a baby scan clinic to keep track of baby’s health anymore, you can do it yourself.
